Forest School Sessions in Keighley, West Yorkshire
What is Forest School?
Forest School is a learner-centred process that offers participants regular opportunities to develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences.
We promote appropriate, supported risk taking for individuals during their sessions. The aim is to promote the holistic development of all those involved; fostering resilient, confident, independent and creative learners.
Forest School Sessions are led within the beautiful Ponden woodland in the heart of Brontë country, which offers a tranquil space for learners to develop a relationship between themselves and the natural world.
Activities include: Exploring, team building, woodland zipwire, archery, archery tag, den building, whittling, slackline & ninja line, mud play, games, treasure hunt, tree climbing, hill climbing & sliding, fire lighting, bush craft, tool use, metal detecting, hammocks, slingshot shooting, arts & crafting, cooking on a fire, foraging & eating wild food (including plants, fungi & insects), river walking, moorland exploring, dam building, other water play and much more.
